DISCUSSION: The University of North Texas Health Science Center, located at 3500 Camp Bowie Boulevard, is in the process of designing and constructing two parking garages (one on each side of Clifton Street). Part of the design is to connect the two garages with two pedestrian bridges. The bridges will be installed at heights of 16-feet and 19-feet, and are designed to not interfere with any anticipated vehicular traffic. Several pedestrian bridges are already in-place in the City. Therefore, this application will not be setting a precedent. The Encroachment Committee has reviewed this request and is recommending approval. FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
