COUNTY OF TARRANT §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and TranSystems Corporation (Engineer)
made and entered into City Secretary Contract No.24801 (the Contract)which was authorized by
the City Council by M&C C-17302 on the 2"d day of March, 1999;
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project:
Engineering Argeement for the Design of the Heron Drive Water Line
Extension.
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said Contract
to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly
authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services
specified in a proposal letter dated January 24, 2001,a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer
total $14,925.00.
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee
to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so
that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of
$170,445.00.
3.
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall
remain in full force and effect.

RE: Amendment No. 1 to Heron Drive Water Line Extension PW77-060770154820
Dear Ms. Rafalko:
As per the City's request to accommodate extra survey for change of alignment for water line, for
a change in scope to include construction staking and the addition of an archaeological survey,
:;anSystems is preparing this amendment for additional fee to the original contract. We are
requesting an increase in fee of $14,925.00 to cov ff these costs. The additional work is as
outlined below:
1. Design Survey:
• Field Survey and Data Reduction for realignment from
• Lake Haven Circle to Goodnight Circle. $ 2,900.00
2. Construction Staking
• 13,500 L.F. water line center line staking with
15 fire hydrants and 50 services.
• Centerline at 100' intervals and at PI's, PC's and PT's.
• Centerline and elevations for water line from stations 1+00
to 8+00 on Silver Creek Rd. at Live Oak Creek.
Fire hydrants marked with offset and grade. $ 8,525.00
3. Archaeological Survey
• Secure archaeological survey permit.
• Conduct record search. rr,,
• Conduct comprehensive on-the-ground pedestrian survey.
• Conduct 10-15 shovel tests. Ife

• Analyze artifacts if found and prepare for permanent curati n.te!io �4
• Prepare written report for submission to Texas Historical Commission.
