WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Wier & Associates, Inc.
Associates Inc. , (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract
No.26044, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C
C-18034 on the 30 day of May, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following
project:
Additional Design Surveying is needed due to the recent developments in
Saunders Road. These developments were not exist when the original
contract was signed.
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee:
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which
amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated February 19,
2001, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost
to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer total
$3, 250. 00
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in
the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed
under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for
all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $88, 654 .00

All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended
herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Differing Site Conditions, Additional Topographic Survey
Saunders Road
Fort Worth, Texas
Dear Fred,
This project is currently under design and is also a 1997/CIP project that has a long
history. Since the time of the original topographic survey performed by Wier and
Associates and the current design phase, the site conditions have changed and will
require an additional topographic survey in order for us to complete our design efforts.
We request that you authorize an additional fee for performing topographic surveys on
Saunders Road. We anticipate approximately 3 days of crew time and 1 day of office
time to perform this work. The cost for this additional work is approximately $3,250.00.
Please forward this request to the appropriate personnel and advise when we have
notice to proceed. We cannot complete the next design milestone until this work is
performed.
