RE: Start Date for Services
Dear Brian:
Reference is made to the FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR COLLECTION OF
RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE, REFUSE AND SMALL BULKY WASTE,RECYCLABLES, CERTAIN
COMMERCIAL SOLID WASTE,YARD WASTE, C&D AND LARGE BRUSH AND LARGE BULKY
WASTE.
Waste Management(WMT) is pleased to inform the City that WMT will be implementing the new
service contemplated by the amendment on November 1,2004. Specifically, this service includes
enhanced weekly brush service, monthly bulk collection service and non-compliant pile collection
of up to150 piles per day. As you recall, we had originally anticipated the need for 90 days from
the date of the Amendment, or November 29, to implement the new program. However, we are
prepared to start it almost 30 days ahead of schedule. Please allow this letter to supercede our
letter of October 4, 2004 and accept this letter as the official notice letter of the Effective Date, as
required by the Amendment.
Please indicate your acceptance of the terms set forth in this letter by signing below.
