L TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 47687 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Freese and Nichols, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 47687, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized administratively on the 15th day of April, 2016 in the amount of $ 30, 000; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Neighborhood Transportation Connections for Pedestrians and Bicycles LGPP Assistance; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1. Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal dated September 19, 2016, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer totals $13,830. (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page -3-) 2 . Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $43,830. The labor category rates have been updated as reflected in Attachment No. 2 . 3. Freeway,Suite 2200 Fort Worth,Texas 76115 Re: Construction Phase LG PP Assistance—Amendment#1 Neighborhood Transportation Connection for Pedestrian and Bicycles TxDOT CSJ 902-48-791 Phase I City Secretary Contract No.47687 Dear Mr. McElhany: This letter represents our request for supplemental authorization to provide the following services for the referenced project. This project involves documentation of construction activities in accordance with the LGPP Best Practices Manual as required by TxDOT and FHWA for the CSJ 902 48 791-Phase I (S. Hills, River Park, Meadowbrook) project only. Our original$30,000 contract was based on the duration of the construction contract(250 calendar days). Because the contract time was extended one month (31 days),we estimate that it will require an additional $13,830 to complete the coordination for the project. We hereby request supplemental authorization to our contract in the amount of$13,830 which would bring our total authorization to$43,830.
