AMENDMENT TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 29963 WHEREAS, on May 1 l, 2004, the City of Fort Worth and the Forth Worth Housing Authority made and entered into an Agreement with Fort Worth Housing Authority Concerning the Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program, City Secretary Contract No. 29963, (the "Agreement") as authorized by M&C C-15922 adopted by the City Council on March 23, 2004; WHEREAS, the Agreement authorized the City of Fort Worth to provide the Fort Worth Housing Authority with housing counseling and homebuyer assistance services to implement its Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program for certain of its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher recipients; WHEREAS, the Agreement expires by its terms on May 10, 2005; WHEREAS, the Fort Worth Housing Authority desires to extend the Agreement for an additional twelve (12) month term and City of Fort Worth has agreed that it is to the Parties' mutual benefit to agree to such extension to meet the Parties' goals as recited in the Agreement; WHEREAS, it the mutual desire of the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Housing Authority to amend the Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Fort Worth ("Fort Worth"), acting by and through Dale A. Fisseler, its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and the Fort Worth Housing Authority. ("FWHA"), acting by and through Barbara Holston, its duly authorized Executive Director, do hereby agree as follows: I. 2. TERM. This first sentence of this section is amended to be and read as follows: "This Agreement is extended for twelve (12) months beginning on May 11, 2005 ("Effective Date") and will expire May 10, 2006 unless terminated earlier in accordance with this Agreement". II. 4. CONSIDERATION. The first sentence of the second paragraph of Section 4. Consideration, as amended, should have read as follows: "FWHA shall pay its portion of the costs to Fort Worth as follows: $25,000.00 on June 30, 2005; $25,000.00 on September 30, 2005; $25,000.00 on December 31, 2005; and $25,000.00 on March 31, 2006." If this accurately reflects your understanding of what should be the correct wording of the Contract Amendment and the dates of the payment of the consideration to the City of Fort Worth, please sign both copies of this letter and return one to me in the enclosed, stamped self- addressed envelope.
