WHEREAS, The City of Forf,Worth (the "City") and Elements of Architecture, Inc. (the "Architect") made
and entered into City Secretary Confract No. 45276 (The Contract) which was administratively executed in
the amount of $27,220.00.
WHEREAS, the City administrativefy ex�cuted Amendment No. 9 on July 31, 2014 in the amount of
$22, 373.00.
WHEREAS, the City executed Amendment No. 2 on October 27, 2015 by Council approval of M&C C-
27517 in the amount of $147,099.00.
WHEREAS, furfher amendment is necessary to reimburse the Architect for professional services for fhe
project as parf of the design services agreement; and
NOW THERE�ORF, City and Architect, acEing herein by and through their duly authorized
representati�es, enfer info the following agreement which amends the Con#ract:

Ariicle 1.1, SECTION I— SERVICES OF THE ENGINEER, the following paragraph is added to read as
follows:
"Provide Construction Documents and Construction Administration Services as required for the
facility. The scope of services is described in the Elements of Architecture, Inc. letter dafed
January 24, 2017, Subject: Proposal for A/E Additional Services — 7actical Center — KXAS
Additional Services — Geoiechnical Testing and Coordination, attached herefo as Attachment "A°
and made a part of this Agraement". This Amendment No. 3 increases The Contract by
$5,570.00 including up to $0_00 in reimbursable expenses.
2.
Paragraph 1 of SECTION V- COMPENSA710N TO ARCHITECT, is amended as follows:
"The total compensation for a11 of the assignments to be performed by Architect as described in
CHARACTER AND �XTENT of ARCHTECT'S SERVICES hereof shal! be a fee not to exceed of
$202,262.00. "

Tacfical Center - I<XAS Adclitionaf Services – Goetechnical Testing and Coordination
Dear Ronnie;
As exc(uded from our original scope of services and proposal, we had exduding coordinating a geotech For
borings associated wiPh the design oF the elevator. This additionat services request ls to add coordination of this
effort as well as the cost Eor the consultant.
Although we uncierstand that due to the carrent- use oF the building, that this boring wili be done outside of the
build[ng and as shown on the attached aeriaL We wili coordinate the schedule of this activity with the City and
those on site For access. ln addition to the actua( goetech and coordination of the effort, we will review the
findings with CMJ and recommendallons Por options. Our services also ic�clude imnlementing their
recommendation into the clocuments. As we were not abte to drill in the actual Iocation of the e(evator, we have
included services for structural that we believe wil( be needed during construction for dealing with the actual
conclitions once the contractor excavates this area.
PROPOSED FEE "

We propose to provide our services as identi8ed in this nroposal on an hourly Uasis with the not to exceed
amounts as fol[ows:

Structuraf $ 1,800.00
Geotechnical Engineering (270Qx i.l) $ 2,970.00
Total $ 5,570.00
Expenses
Additional ex�enses on the project are anticipated to be around $800.
