HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 30557 STATE OF TEXAS § +'r T''^^ETARY COUNTY OF TARRANT § NO Amendment to City Secretary Contract No. 28892 THIS contract is made and entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth ("City"), acting and through Richard Zavala,its duly authorized Acting Assistant City Manager,and YWCA("Contractor"),by and through Ms. Judi Bishop,its duly authorized Executive Director. Contractor's business address is 512 West 4th Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102. WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has been notified that it will receive grant monies from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") through the Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") for Year XXIX; and, WHEREAS,the primary purpose of the CDBG Program is to benefit low and moderate income citizens of Fort Worth; and, WHEREAS,the citizens of Fort Worth,the Community Development Council, and the City Council of Fort Worth have determined that Public Service Programs are needed by low and moderate income citizens of Fort Worth; WHEREAS, Contractor will use$56,223 of its CDBG allocation for use as the local match to draw up to an additional $141,334 of At-Risk Title VI funds from the Texas Workforce Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, THIS AGREEMENT FURTHER WITNESSETH: THAT, the parties covenant and agree as follows: 1. Scope of Services a. Contractor will administer Child Care services to citizens of the City of Fort Worth under the program name Child Development Program ("Program"), for the term June 1, 2003 to September 30, 2004. The Consolidated Plan, as adopted by the City Council, included program descriptions for each of the above funded programs. The above programs are consistent with the City's approved priorities and the City Council's prior policies and meet the requirements of the Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations concerning "eligible activities". FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: The Finance Director certifies that funds will be available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the Grants Fund contingent upon approval and receipt of adequate funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the term beginning June 1, 2003, and ending May 31, 2004.
