HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 33368-A1 AMENDMENT NO. 1 STATE OF TEXAS S CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. .33 3(A-Al (No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT S WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Deltatek Engineering. , (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 33368, (the Contract) which was authorized and M&C was not required; WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering Design Services: Plan upgrade and construction management with Inspection for Safety and regulatory Improvement to the Water Storage Facilities, Project No. 00465; WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated December 71 2009, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services and Construction Management with inspection to be performed by Engineer total $23, 905.00 . 2 . Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall net exceed the sum of $47,365.00 . WORTH, TX December 7, 2009 Mr. Seiavash Mir Project Manager City of Fort Worth Water Department 1000 Throckmorton Street Fort Worth,Texas 76102 Reference: Safety and Regulatory Improvements Fort Worth Water Storage Facilities Water Production Project No. 0605004-539120 Plan Upgrade for Advertisement Dear Mr. Mir: On November 29, 2006, Deltatek Engineering has issued plans and specifications for various water storage facilities safety and regulatory improvements. Due to time lapsed, it is recommended to upgrade these documents prior to advertisement. The facilities included in this task are listed below: 1. Armstrong Ranch 2. Calmont 3. Como 4. Lake Country 5. Meadowbrook 6. Northwest 7. Randoll Mill 8. Sun Country Since renovation of Como is under contract, related improvements to this facility can be included as a change order or use contingency in the current contract with N. G. Painting. Additionally, if City plans to rehabilitate the Randoll Mill GST next year, this facility can be eliminated also from Safety and Regulatory project.
