AMENDMENT No. 1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 42021
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Halff Associates, Inc. ,
(ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 42021, (the
CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C on the 21St day of July, 2011 in
the amount of $ 358, 700 . 00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the
following project:
LITSEY ROAD FROM CLEVELAND-GIBBS TO INDEPENDENCE PARKWAY; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement,
which amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal dated March 20, 2012, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City
for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals
$34, 500 . 00 .

Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $393, 200 . 00 .

All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly
amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

Engineering Amendment No. I
Dear Mr. Buckley:
Please accept this letter proposal for additional surveying services that are necessary to complete
the Litsey Road project. The original contract allowed for the preparation of fourteen (14)right-of-
way and/or easement parcels. The project requires a total of twenty (24) parcels. We are
requesting payment for these additional parcels in the amount of$16,500.
Additionally, this letter proposal provides for additional engineering services, as requested, to
design approximately 2,430 additional linear feet of 16-inch water line along Litsey Road between
Mallard Creek Street and Independence Parkway. We are requesting payment for these additional
engineering services in the amount of $18,000. This fee can be broken down further to the
following:
• Revise Water Plan Sheets(3) $ 1,500
• Revise Location Map $ 500
• Add Nine(9)Water Plan &Profile Sheets $13,000
• Additional Quantities and Estimates $ 500
• 90% & 100% Submittals and Address Comments $ 2,500
Total $18,000
Therefore,the total amount of additional fee requested with this proposal is $34,500.
The original contract amount for this project was $358,700. With approval of Engineering
Amendment No. 1 the contract amount will increase to $393,200. Halff Associates will execute a
change order in the amount of$15,000 with Garcia Land Data to prepare the additional right-of-
way / easement parcels. The original M/WBE fee for this project was $106,667 (29.7%). With

approval of Engineering Amendment No. 1 the M/WBE fee will increase to $121,667 (30.9%).
The M/WBE goal for this project is 26%.
