LEASE AMENDMENT
6 $ L 9 BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND
WELLINGTON SQUARE SHOPPING CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth, a Texas home rule municipal corporation
("Lessee") entered into a lease agreement ("Lease") (City Secretary Contract No. 35572)
effective as of October 1, 2007 with Wellington Square Shopping Center ("Lessor") for leased
premises located at 6773 Camp Bowie, Fort Worth, Texas 76116 more particularly described in
the Lease("Leased Premises);and
WHEREAS, the primary lease date terminated on September 30, 2012 and the Lessee
and Lessor executed the five (5) lease renewal that extended the lease to term to September 30,
2017; and
WHEREAS, the Lessee and Lessor desire to extend the lease term by adding two (2)
successive one year automatic renewals to terminate September 30,2019.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the rentals set forth in the Lease, the parties
agree to amend the lease as follows:
SECTION 3.Term and Rent; This lease provides for two (2)successive one year
automatic renewals per the following terms:
l9t renewal term: 10/1/2017—9/30/2018 at$1600 per month.
2"d renewal term: 10/1/2018—9/30/2019 at$1760 per month,
SECTION 8.Termination,funding,non-appropriation. This lease may be terminated
by either party with 90 days written notice.
All other terms and conditions of the Lease remain unchanged and in full force and
effect.

HEARING:
SUBJECT: Authorize Execution of an Amendment to Extend the Term of the Lease at 6773 Camp
Bowie for Office Space for the Fort Worth Police Department(COUNCIL DISTRICT 3)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended for the City Council to authorize the execution of an amendment to extend the
term of the lease of office space at 6773 Camp Bowie for the Fort Worth Police Department(City
Secretary Contract No. 35572) for a term of one year and add a one year renewal option.
DISCUSSION:
On July 10, 2007, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C L-14354), City Council approved a lease
agreement between the City of Fort Worth (City) and Wellington Square Shopping Center(Lessor)to
lease approximately 1600 square feet of space located at 6773 Camp Bowie Boulevard to be used by
the Fort Worth Police Department as office space.
The lease agreement included one five year renewal period which was executed (CSC No. 35572-
R1) and expires September 30, 2017.
The City and Lessor desire to extend the lease for one year with an expiration on September 30,
2018, at the current rental rate of$1,600.00 per month, with an additional one year renewal option at
$1,760.00 per month. The parties will also add a 90 day termination for convenience provision.
This property is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current operating budget, as
appropriated of the General Fund. Prior to an expenditure being made, the participating department
has the responsibility to validate the availability of funds.
