INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
FOR RABIES CONTROL
CITY OF FORT WORTH AND CITY OF BLUE MOUND
THIS AMENDMENT AGREEMENT TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT
(CSC) NO. 48786 is made and entered into by and between the CITY OF FORT WORTH,
a home -rule municipal corporation situated in Tarrant, Denton, Parker, and Wise Counties,
Texas, acting by and through its duly authorized Assistant City Manager (hereinafter referred
to as "City"), and CITY OF BLUE MOUND, Texas ("Blue Mound"), collectively known as
"the parties".
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on March 6, 2017 City and Blue Mound, made and entered into an
Interlocal Agreement (CSC No. 48786) ("Agreement") in accordance with Chapter 791 of the
Texas Government Code for the purpose of limited rabies control under Chapter 826 of the
Texas Health and Safety Code, also known as the Rabies Control Act of 1981; and
WHEREAS, Section 3 of the Agreement provides that the Agreement will terminate
on September 30, 2017 unless otherwise extended in writing by the parties; and
WHEREAS, Blue Mound and the City wish to renew the Agreement for an additional
one year term, unless extended as provided below, until September 30, 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Blue Mound acting herein and by and through their
duly authorized representatives mutually agree to the following amendment of the Agreement:
1. Section 3. Term of the Agreement is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the
following:

TERM
Unless terminated pursuant to the terms herein, this Agreement shall be for a term of
one year, beginning on October 1, 2017 and ending on September 30, 2018. In addition, the
term may be extended by mutual written agreement of the parties, for up to two additional
one-year terms.
