As the design and construction of the wastewater collection system improvements for the project have proceeded, it has been necessary to revise the scope of the engineering services provided to the City of Fort Worth by RJN Group, Inc. (RJN). Amendment No. 1 includes compensation for the preparation of documentation required by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) to secure a National 404 Permit, Floodway Permit, and approval from the TRWD to construct the sewer line. Because the alignment thru the TRWD property was not approved until after the alternative alignment study and cost feasibility studies were performed, these permits were not included in the original scope of work for the project. The costs summarized below include preparation of the permit application, coordination meetings with the governing agencies, map exhibits, coordination with an independent geotechnical engineer for soil borings, and modifications to the plans and specifications, as required for approval. The additional costs (Special Services) associated with this work are as follows: US Army Corps of Engineers& TRWD Permits(Special Services) Engineering Design Services (RJN Group) Project Manager— 80 Hours at $111/hr. _ $ 8,880 Project Engineer— 40 Hours at $85/hr. = 3,400 Senior CADD Designer—34 Hours at $75/hr = 2,550 Sub-total USArmy Cores& TRWD Permits $14,830 Please process Amendment No. 1 to the Clear Fork Parallel Relief 56—w-er ant r, er Main 134R Rehabilitation Project in the amount of$14,830. c (9r"C r"°1 nUStl Mr. Mike Domenech, Project Manager July 20, 2001 Re: Clear Fork Parallel Relief Sewer Project, Contract Amendment No. 1 Page 2 of 2 We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to the City of Fort Worth. PS46-070460140250 The proposed amendment will reimburse RJN Group, Inc. for the following additional services they provided on the project as requested by the City: The preparation of documentation for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers(Corps) and the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) to secure a National 404 Permit, Floodway Permit, and ap- proval from the TRWD to construct the sewer line.
