Department of Engineering 1000 Throckmorton Street Fort Worth, TX 76102 Reference: West Fork Relief Main, Segments WF-4 and WF-5 Dear Mr. Sahu: Carter& Burgess acknowledges its commitment for making a "good faith" effort to meet the City of Fort Worth's goals for disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE) participation in City of Fort Worth contracts. The staffing requirements for this project will consist of: • One part-time construction representative • One part-time secretary • One part-time project manager Our current contract amount is $2,815,153.00 with a M/WBE participation of$422,271.05 for an involvement of 15%. We propose to engage a certified M/WBE firm to provide project representation services in the amount of$8,386.47 on this amendment. This will result in a total M/WBE participation of$430,657.52 on the revised total contract amount of $2,871,050.15, which is a total project commitment of 15%. We feel this is the most feasible means of providing M/WBE participation on what is basically a one-person assignment (one project representative). It also achieves our goal of 15% participation on the overall project. We look forward to the opportunity of serving you on this project. If I can be of further assistance please give me a call.
