FIRST RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT
";'WHEREAS, this FIRST RENEWAL AGREEMENT is between the City of Fort Worth,
ITY"), and Michael Baker International, Inc., authorized to do business in Texas,
("ENGINEER"), which renews the ORIGINAL AGREEMENT (City Secretary #49165), said
ORIGINAL AGREEMENT and two renewals approved by M&C C-28199 (May 2, 2017), for the
PROJECT generally described as: BRIDGE MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING SERVICES; and
WHEREAS,this RENEWAL AGREEMENT was authorized by the City Council on
March 6,2018 via M&C C-28606.
NOW,THEREFORE,it is agreed by the CITY and ENGINEER as follows:
Article I
The Scope of Services as set forth in the ORIGINAL AGREEMENT has not changed.
Article II
The ENGINEER's compensation, as set forth in the ORIGINAL AGREEMENT, shall
remain at an amount not to exceed$150,000.00.
Article ID
Except as hereinabove noted, there are no other changes to the AGREEMENT.
EFFECTIVE as of the date subscribed by the City's designated City Manager.

Authorize First Renewal of City Secretary Contract No. 49165, an Engineering Services Agreement with
Michael Baker International, Inc., in the Amount of$150,000.00 for Annual Bridge Maintenance Program
(ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of the first renewal of City Secretary
Contract No. 49165 for Engineering Services Agreement with Michael Baker International, Inc., for
engineering services for annual bridge maintenance program with hourly rates and reimbursable costs not
to exceed $150,000.00 (City Project No. 100597).
DISCUSSION:
On May 2, 2017, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C C-28199) the City Council authorized the
execution of Engineering Services Agreement with Michael Baker International, Inc., (MBI) for engineering
services for annual bridge maintenance program. That contract has an option for two annual
renewals. MBI has agreed to renew this contract for the first renewal period under same terms and
conditions (City Project No. 100597).
M/WBE OFFICE— Michael Baker International, Inc., is in compliance with the City's BDE Ordinance by
committing to eight percent SBE participation on this renewal.
This program is in ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS.
FISCAL INFORMATION /CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the General Capital Projects fund as previously
appropriated. Prior to an expenditure being incurred, the participating department has the responsibility to
validate the availability of funds.
