HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 26853 CITY Y CON R CHT NO LEASE EXTENSION AGREEMENT This EXTENSION AGREEMENT to be attached to and form a part of the Lease (which together with any amendments, modifications and extensions thereof is hereinafter called the Lease) made the 10th day of May, 1993, between BROOKS SMITH, 2116 Woodard Avenue, Cleburne, Texas 76031, as Landlord, and the CITY OF FORT WORTH, as Tenant, covering the premises known as 2607-13 Waggoman Street, Fort Worth, Texas. WITNESSETH that the Lease is hereby renewed and extended for a further term of 6 months to commerce on the 1'` day of June, 2001 and to end on the 30't day of November, 2001, on the condition that Landlord and Tenant comply with all the provisions of the covenants and agreements contained in the Lease. Authorize the City Manager to execute a lease extension with Brooks Smith for office space located at 2607-13 Waggoman Street at a cost of$2,400 per month; and 2. Approve the lease extension term of six months beginning June 1, 2001, and expiring November 30, 2001. DISCUSSION: At the request of the Police Department, the Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division negotiated a lease extension agreement with Brooks Smith for office space at 2607-13 Waggoman Street. The lease extension term is for six months. There is a rental charge of$2,400 per month for the space. The City has leased this space since June 1, 1993, and is responsible for the payment of telephone service and all utility costs. The Police Department and the Real Property Management Division are in the process of locating another, more suitable location for this operation. FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: The Finance Director certifies that funds are available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the General Fund.
