CITY SECRETARY
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Neel-Schaffer,
0� ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract
No. 49485, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C C-28302
on the lst day of August, 2017 in the amount of $458,204 . 00;
and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for
the following project:
Churchill Road Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvements; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No.
1 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and
revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the
following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the
additional engineering services specified in a proposal dated
March 15, 2018, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional
design services to be performed by Engineer totals $14,980 . 00
(Water: $11,235 . 00; Sewer: $3,745. 00) .

Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an
increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and
services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be
an amount of $473,184 .00 .
3 .
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not
expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and
effect.

Reference: Churchill Road Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvements Contract Amendment 1
for Additional Services to Extend Water Lines in Ohio Garden Road and Tyra
Lane,and the Sewer Line in Ohio Garden Road
Dear Lawrence:
Neel-Schaffer, Inc. offers additional Professional Engineering and Surveying Services for this
project. These additional services were requested by the City of Fort Worth for three reasons.
First, to extend the water line replacement in Ohio Garden Road another two blocks to allow the
City to provide water service to three customers that reside in the City of Fort Worth, but are
currently being provided water by the City of River Oaks. Second, to eliminate a dead-end water
line in Tyra Lane and loop the system into Ohio Garden Road. Third, to extend the sanitary
sewer replacement in Ohio Garden Road a comparable distance to the water replacement
(another two blocks).
Neel-Schaffer, Inc. proposes to increase the contract amount by $14,980.00 for these additional
services which will include survey and design for approximately 1,050' of 8" water line and
approximately 720' of sanitary sewer line. All additional services will be performed in
accordance with the original contract dated August 9, 2017.

Revised Contract Amount $473,184.00
