AMENDMENT NO. 1

COUNTY OF TARRANT $
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Freese and
Nichols, Inc. , (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary
Contract No. 29739, (the Contract) which was authorized by the
City Council by M&C C-20003 on the 23rd day of March 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project:
Engineering contract for the design of Water and Sanitary
Sewer Improvements to Serve the Thompson Road and Riverside
North Area (Annexation A-00-20)
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1
to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised
maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the
following agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the
additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter
dated September 2, 2005, a. copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design
services to be performed by Engineer total $24,786 .00 .
2 .
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an
increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work
and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not
exceed the sum of $174, 838.00.

All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended
herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr. Domenech:
Attached is the revised engineering proposal for furnishing the City of Fort Worth the changes
requested on the Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvements to serve the Thompson Road and
Riverside North Area. These changes are listed below.
• Design of approximately 2,300 sanitary sewer line from North Riverside Dr to sewer
main M-454*.
We propose to provide the design and survey services for a fee of$24,786. Exhibits 1, 2, 3, and 4
provide a breakdown of the fee.
Original Contract Amount = $150,052.00
Amendment No. 1 = $ 24,786.00
Revised Contract Amount = $174,838.00
We propose to utilize Gorrondona&Associates,Inc, for survey services for$9,300 equating to
37.5%M/WBE participation.
Your expeditious execution of this Amendment#1 to our original contract would be greatly
appreciated. We appreciate the opportunity to be of continued service to you.
