(City Project No. 100277) DISCUSSION: On August 1, 2017, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C C-28316) the City Council authorized a contract with Condie Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of$4,859,595.00 for Northside IV 24-Inch water transmission main along Bowman Roberts Road from Santa Gertrudis Street to Bailey Boswell Road. The contract was subsequently revised by Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$19,277.70 administratively authorized on February 1, 2018. Change Order No. 2 will provide for the importation of select backfill material to replace existing unsuitable material that was encountered during trenching operations. The change order will also provide increased pay item quantities of 6-inch concrete driveway replacement that is necessary on the project and the installation of two 16-inch gate valves and vaults to accommodate future development. Construction is estimated to be complete by August 2018. M/WBE OFFICE— Condie Construction Company agrees to maintain its initial MBE commitment of 10 percent that it made on the original contract and extend and maintain that same MBE commitment of 10 percent to all prior change orders up to and inclusive of this Change Order No. 2. Therefore Condie Construction Company remains in compliance with the City's BIDE Ordinance and attests to its commitment by its signature on the Acceptance of Previous MBE Commitment form executed by an authorized representative of it company. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7.
