TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO.47457
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
This AMENDMENT TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 47457, a
Professional Services Agreement, is made and entered into by and between the City of Fort
Worth, a home-rule municipal corporation of the State of Texas("City"), acting by and through
Valerie Washington, its duly authorized Assistant City Manager and Texas Coalition For Animal
Protection ("Contractor"), a Texas non-profit corporation, each individually referred to as
"party"and collectively as"parties".
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth and Texas Coalition For Animal Protection made
and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 47457(the"Agreement")on January 28,2016;and
WHEREAS, the Agreement for veterinary services originally included a six month term;
and
WHEREAS,on November 8,2016,the Agreement was amended to extend the term until
July 28,2017;and
WHEREAS, on November 22, 2017, the Agreement was amended a second time to
extend the tern until July 28,2018;and
WHEREAS, staff recommends amending the Agreement a third time to extend the term
with Contractor for an additional eleven months to align with the fiscal year.
NOW THEREFORE, City and Contractor acting herein by and through their duly
authorized representatives enter into the following that amends the Agreement:
1.
The City and the Contractor agree to amend City Secretary Contract No. 47457 to extend
the term in Section 2 for eleven months from the expiration of the Agreement to terminate on
September 30, 2019. The Agreement, as amended, may be terminated in accordance with
Section 4 of the Agreement.
2.
All other provisions of the Agreement which are not expressly amended herein shall
remain unchanged, including the scope of services and fees. The not-to-exceed amount in
Section 3 of the Agreement hereby commences upon the execution of this this amendment.
