Marshall Public Safety & Municipal Courts Building — Courtrooms Remodel STATE OF TEXAS CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. - t COUNTY OF TARRANT WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth and Arthur Weinman Architect (Consultant) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 49848 (The Contract) which was authorized administratively, the 27th day of October, 2017, for A.D. Marshall Public Safety & Municipal Courts Building - Courtrooms Remodel; and WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary to reimburse the Consultant as part of the design services agreement for additional design services for/to breakdown the existing Probable Estimated Cost of the Project to reallocate funding and include any revisions to the Construction Documents. NOW THEREFORE, City and Consultant, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I — Scope of Services, Paragraph (3) shall be added to read as follows: (3) Provide additional design services for the detailing and breakdown of existing Probable Estimated Cost of the Project to reallocate funding and include any revisions to the Construction Documents. The cost of this additional service is $6,780.00 including $500.00 in reimbursable expenses. The scope of services is described more fully in Arthur Weinman, Architect Letter dated August 24, 2018 and revised August 29, 2018, subject: "Municipal Courts Building, Fort Worth, Texas, Projects A & B, AWA Projects# 17-009". 2. Article II — Compensation, first paragraph, is amended as follows: "Consultant shall be compensated in accordance with the Fee Schedule shown in Attachment "A". Payment shall be considered full compensation for all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to complete the services described in Attachment "A". However the total fee paid by the City shall not exceed a total of $35,142.00 including $1,000.00 in reimbursable expenses unless the City and the Consultant mutually agree upon a fee amount for additional services and amend this Agreement accordingly." 3. All other provisions of this Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect. As we discussed services for this proposal will include conferences and revisions to Part A- Building Access and Part B - First and Second Floor Access of the existing document sets previously prepared by our office. Both document sets will be prepared to be issued as separate contracts with separate funding sources, but each with two alternates that may individually accompany either funding source. Services include revisions to both drawing sets and written specifications for this division of work. No additional work is required for the following project: Part A- Building entry access ramp to 1s`floor, new lobby and foyer on north side of building for ramp access, two new Parking Violations offices, remodel to Courtroom #2 to create a lobby for Parking Violations accessible entry door Construction cost estimates for the services covered by this proposal will be included. Davis / Bacon requirements for Federal funding will be included as a cost factor by the City We will have cost estimates broken down as follows: Part B - Remodel of 1st floor Courtrooms#2 thru#5 and 15'floor toilet rooms#8 and #9 to meet Texas Accessibility requirements_ Alternate#1 - Remodel 2nd floor Courtroom #1 and new Court Clerks Room #2 on the second floor to meet Texas Accessibility requirements Alternate#2 - Remodei existing 2nd floor Women's toilet room #3 and adding two new single fixture toilet rooms #4 and#5 to meet Texas Accessibility requirements Architectural services for this proposal shall include a professional construction cost estimator. Architectural services for this proposal shall not include Structural Engineering, M.E.P. Engineering, or a Registered Accessibility consultant. If you decide to proceed after that date we reserve the right to review our fees at that time. Time will be billed on a monthly basis or at the completion of the drawings. Payment of all invoices will be due upon receipt of invoice. Payment not received within thirty days of invoice date shall bear interest at the rate prevailing at the principal place of business of the Architect. Our Hourly rates for additional services beyond those contracted would include the following personnel rates: Principal $180.00 per hour Project Architect $140.00 per hour Senior Project Manager $105.00 per hour Project Manager $ 90.00 per hour Senior Draftsman $ 70.00 per hour Draftsman $ 55.00 per hour Reimbursable expenses, reimbursable with fifteen percent (15%) handling and carrying charges, shall include the following items: Professional consultants not included above. Printing Rendering or model production costs 1_ong distance travel, meats, hotel, auto rental Auto travel at $0.55 per mile Express Mail, Federal Express, or other local and long distance courier services Please review the attached General Conditions of the Proposal for further information regarding this proposal.
