AMENDMENT No. 1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 50740
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Kimley-Horn and
Associates, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary
Contract No . 50740, (the CONTRACT) which was administratively authorized
on the 8th day of May, 2018 in the amount of $60, 450 . 00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the
following project:
Heritage Trace Parkway Sidewalk and Traffic Signal Improvements; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the
CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement,
which amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal dated October 9, 2018, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to
City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer
totals $37,900. 00. (See Attached FID Breakdown Sheet, Page -3-)

Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in
the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under
the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall be an amount of $98,350. 00.
3 .
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly
amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

Sidewalk and Traffic Signal Improvements
Dear Clint:
Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. ("Kimley-Horn"or"Consultant')is pleased to submit this Amendment
#1 to the City of Fort Worth (City) to provide additional services for the design of the Heritage Trace
Parkway Sidewalk and Traffic Signal Improvements.
The following Scope of Services has been developed based on our discussions with the City.
Scope of Services
Kimley-Horn will provide the services specifically set forth below.
Task 1 —Design Management
Kimley-Horn will perform design management services for an additional two (2) months, which include
managing the team, monthly invoices, monthly progress reports, and monthly schedule updates.
Task 2— Preliminary Design (60%)
Kimley-Horn will prepare 60% design plans for the additional sidewalk along the south side of Heritage
Trace Parkway between Sage Meadow and Featherglass Lane. This segment of sidewalk will be
designed along the back of curb.
Kimley-Horn will also prepare for and attend an additional on-site constructability review meeting with
City staff.
Task 3— Final Design (90%) and Final Construction Documents (100%)
Kimley-Horn will prepare 90% and Final plans for the additional segment of sidewalk. These designs
will be incorporated into the current plan set.
Task 4—Construction Phase Services
Kimley-Horn will perform the additional tasks above the tasks in the current contract:
- Attend two (2) additional bi-weekly construction meetings during construction.
- Respond to one (1)additional RFI.
- Revise plans as needed per change orders (1 additional change order assumed).
- Meet on-site to review field changes (1 additional meeting assumed).

Prepare record drawings for the additional sidewalk segment upon receipt of Contractor red
lines.
Task 5—ROW/Easement Services
Kimley-Horn will perform right-of-way research for the new segment of sidewalk and prepare up to two
(2)temporary construction easement documents.
Task 6—Survey and SUE Services
Kimley-Horn will collect the additional topographic survey and Level B SUE along the southern parkway
of Heritage Trace Parkway between Sage Meadow and Featherglass Lane (gutter to right-of-way line).
Up to two (2) Level A test holes will also be performed, if necessary.
Additional Services
Any services not specifically provided for in the above scope will be billed as additional services and
performed at our then current hourly rates
Schedule
We will provide our services in a mutually agreed upon schedule following Notice to Proceed from the
City. Additional services, if desired, will be performed in a timely manner upon authorization by the
City.
Fee and Expenses
Kimley-Horn will perform the services in Tasks 1 —6 for a not-to-exceed fee of$37,900. All permitting,
application, and similar project fees will be paid directly by the Client.
Kimley-Horn will not exceed the total maximum labor fee shown without authorization from the Client.
