COUNTY OF TARRANT S
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Teague Nall and
Perkins, Inc. , (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary
Contract No. 33830, (the Contract) which was authorized by the
City Council by MSC C-21582 on the 25th day of July, 2006 and
subsequently revised by two previous amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project:
Sanitary Sevier Rehabilitation Contract LXXIV (74) .
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 3
to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised
maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the
following agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the
additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter
dated April 27, 2010, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design
services to be performed by Engineer total $7,500.00.

Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an
increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work
and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not
exceed the sum of $253,426.00.

Dear Ms. Schwinger:
Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. is submitting this feeAmendment to the above referenced contract
based on additional services rendered. The following is a brief description and cost for the
additional services provided on this project:
Additional Design Services
Our original design contract,dated August 14, 2006, had a fee item for acquiring a TxDOT
permit and associated traffic control plans for the M-163 sanitary sewer line crossing at
Camp Bowie Blvd. and Home St. During the course of this project, sanitary sewer line M-
163 was pulled from Contract 74 and put into Contract 52, Part 1,which was much closer to
construction. As scoped in our contract, we submitted traffic control plans for M-163 and
obtained the required TxDOT permit. Recently,the City's traffic department has required an
expansion in the scope of the traffic control plan to address City roadway issues in addition
to the State Highway. Also you might notice that this contract was executed under the City's
previous contract language, prior to traffic control being the responsibility of the Contractor.
Due to this unforeseen requirement,Teague Nall& Perkins has incurred additional design
effort to complete this project and will also be responsible for acquiring a new TxDOT permit.
M-163 is the last line that the Contractor has to install before he can complete Contract 52,
Part 1,so we plan on addressing the Traffic Departments comments as soon as possible to
bring the project to closure. We have already met with the City's traffic department twice and
anticipate 2 additional meetings to finalize the traffic control plan. For your reference and
information,I have attached the traffic department's comments with this letter. The following
is a breakdown of additional costs incurred for the expansion in scope.
