SECOND AMENDMENT TO
CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 29963
WHEREAS, on May 11, 2004,the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth
Housing Authority made and entered into an Agreement with Fort Worth Housing
Authority Concerning the Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program, City
Secretary Contract No. 29963, (the "Agreement") as authorized by M&C C-45
adopted by the City Council on March 23, 2004; V l qqT
WHEREAS, on May 9, 2005,the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Housing
Authority entered into City Secretary Contract No. 31733 to renew and extend City
Secretary Contract No. 29963;
WHEREAS, the Agreement authorized the City of Fort Worth to provide the Fort
Worth Housing Authority with housing counseling and homebuyer assistance services to
implement its Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program for certain of its
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher recipients;
WHEREAS, the Agreement, as amended, expired by its terms on May 10, 2006;
WHEREAS, the Fort Worth Housing Authority and the City of Fort Worth desire
to enter into a new agreement, but the Fort Worth Housing Authority desires to extend
the term of the Agreement, as amended, for a short period of time in order to in order to
provide continuity of services until the new agreement can be negotiated and executed by
the Parties;
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has agreed that it is to the Parties' mutual
benefit to agree to such extension to meet the Parties' goals as recited in the Agreement;
WHEREAS, it the mutual desire of the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth
Housing Authority to amend the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE,the City of Fort Worth ("Fort Worth"), acting by and
through Dale A. Fisseler, its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and the Fort Worth
Housing Authority("FWHA"), acting by and through Barbara Holston, its duly
authorized Executive Director, do hereby agree as follows:
I.
2. TERM. The first sentence of this section is amended to be and read as
follows:
"This Agreement is extended for a period beginning on May 11, 2006 ("Effective
Date") through September 30, 2006 unless terminated earlier in accordance with this
Agreement".

4. CONSIDERATION.The first sentence of the second paragraph of this section is
amended to be and read as follows:
"FWHA shall pay its portion of the costs to Fort Worth as follows: $32,464.00 for
the extended terms no later than September 30, 2006."
III.
7. NOTICES. The person to whom notices to FWHA shall be addressed shall be
changed as follows:
"FWHA: Barbara Holston,Executive Director"
All other terms and conditions of City Secretary Contract No. 29963 not amended
herein remain unaffected and in full force and effect, are binding upon the Parties, and
are hereby ratified by the Parties.
