COUNTY OF TARRANT b
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and GSWW, Inc,
(Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 32129,
(the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-
20821 on the 28th day of June, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project:
Water and Sewer Replacement Contract 2004 , STM-H
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to
said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised
maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through
their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following
agreement which amends the Contract:

Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated July 19,
20061 a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed
by Engineer total $18,875.00.

Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an
increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and
services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not
exceed the sum of $121,215.00.

All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended
herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Mr. Chaubey:
This letter is our formal request for Supplemental Authorization to be compensated for
additional engineering services as requested by the City.
Justification
The original engineering contract did not include any services for permanent
easements, temporary construction easements, or temporary right-of-entry documents
because it wasn't known at that time how many were going to be needed if any.
We will need four "Permanent Sanitary Sewer Easements with Adjacent Temporary
Construction Easements" on Lot 15 & 16, Block 5 and Lots 20 & 21, Block 2 in Westcliff
Addition and four additional "Temporary Construction Easements" on the lots adjacent
to the permanent easements. This is for the Shelby Drive Sanitary Sewer Line to be
"pipe enlarged" as shown on plan sheet 21. We will also need four "Temporary
Construction Easements" on Lots 1, 5R, 6, & 9, Block 6 of Mockingbird Lane Addition
(Ann Arbor Court Sanitary Sewer Line to be partially open cut and partially pipe
enlarged as shown on plan sheet 14) and three "Temporary Construction Easements"
on Lots 8, 10, & 12, Block 23 of Westcliff Addition (Corto Avenue Sanitary Sewer Line to
be pipe enlarged as shown on plan sheet 22). Four "Temporary Right-of-Entry" exhibits
will also be needed (one on Corto Avenue and three on Ann Arbor Court).

The additional costs are summarized below:

with City staff, and four TROE documents with exhibits $ 5,000.00
• Four Permanent Easements with TCE's and eleven
Temporary Construction Easements (MWBE firm) $13,875.00
