EXTENSION OF
CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 34402
WITH PAS COMMUNICATIONS
STATE OF TEXAS §
COUNTY OF TARRANT §
THIS EXTENSION of City Secretary Contract No. 34402 (the "Agreement") is made
and entered into by and between the CITY OF FORT WORTH, a home rule municipal
corporation of the State of Texas located within Tarrant, Denton, and Wise Counties, by and
through its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, Joe Paniagua (hereinafter referred to as the
"City) and PAS COMMiJNICATIONS, tluough its owner, Patrick A. Svacina (hereinafter
refer�ed to as the "Svacina").
WHEREAS, on December 20, 2006, the City and Svacina entered into City Secretary
Contract No. 34402 (Mayor and Council Communication C-21867) for the purpose of the Mayor
and Council, the City Manager's office and Governmental Relations staff obtaining advice and
counsel fi•om PAS Communications regarding state legislative and federal issues; and
WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract was for seven months from December l,
2006 to June 30, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the contract terms and Mayor and Council Communication authorized the
City Manager to extend the contract under the same terms and conditions on a month to month
basis through September 30, 2007 for special sessions or to address federal issues; and
WHEREAS, the City and Svacina desire to extend the contract through September 30,
2007 under the same terms and conditions of City Secretary Contract No. 34402
NOW, THEREFORE, KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS:
That for good and valuable consideration which both parties acknowledge by their
signatures below, the City and Svacina hereby covenant and agree as follows:
1.
That City Secretary Contract No. 34402 is hereby amended to extend the contract term on
a month to month basis through September 30, 2007 under the same terms and conditions of the
existing contract.
Subject to the termination provisions set out in Section Six (6) of City Secretary Contract
Number 34402, Svacina shall be paid $6,900.00 per month.

2.
That all other terms and conditions of City Secretary Contract No. 33402 which are not
expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect throughout the term of this
Agreement.
