AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO
CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO.48467
BACKGROUND SCREENING SERVICES
This Amendment is entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth (hereafter
"City"), a Texas home rule municipal corporation, acting by and through Susan Alanis, its duly
authorized Assistant City Manager, and Southeastern Security Consultants, Inc. d/b/a SSCI
(hereafter"Contractor"), a corporation acting by and through Chris Goodman,its duly authorized
Director,each individually referred to as a"party"and collectively referred to as the"parties_"
WHEREAS,the parties have previously entered into City of Fort Worth City Secretary
Contract No. 48467 (the "Contract"), which is dated December 15, 2016 and has been renewed
to expire on August 31,2019; and
WHEREAS, the Contract is for the purpose of providing the City with professional
consulting services related to background screening checks for volunteers;and.
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor now wish to amend the Contract to increase the
amount of services performed by the Contractor and to increase the total annual payment made
under the Contract to the Contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Contractor acting herein by the through their duly
authorized representatives,enter into the following agreement to amend the contract:
I.
Section 3. Compensation of the Contract is amended to increase the total annual payment
made under the Contract by the City to an amount not to exceed$35,000.00.
2.
All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain
in full force and effect.
