COUNTY OF TARRANT
WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth and Komatsu/Rangel, Inc. (Architect) made and entered into City
Secretary Contract No. 35385 (The Contract)which was authorized by the City Council by MRC C-22141,
the 29th day of May, 2097; and
WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary to reimburse the Architect for additional printing required for
construction; and additional design services.
NOW THEREFORE, City and Architect, acting herein by and through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article 1.1, SECTION I—SERVICES OF THE ARCHITECT, a paragraph is added to read as follows:
"Provide additional full and half size bond sets of drawings and TDLR review and inspection. The
cost of this reimbursable expense is $2,139.19. The scope of services is described more fully in
the Komatsu letter dated July 15, 2010, subject: New Northwest Branch Library A/E Contract
Amendment Request-attached hereto as Attachment'A" and made a part of this agreement."
2.
Paragraph 1 of SECTION V-COMPENSATION TO ARCHITECT, is amended as follows:
"The total compensation for all of the assignments to be performed by Architect as described in
CHARACTER AND EXTENT of ARCHITECT'S SERVICES hereof shall be a fixed fee of
$411,744.57 plus $3,815.95 in reimbursable expenses."

All other provisions of this Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and
effect.

Dear Ronnie:
Per our original AIE contract with the City of Fort Worth for basic architectural
services we excluded all fees and construction document printing. During the
course of the project, the following fees and printing were requested by the City:
TDLR accessibility review and inspection fee $1125.00 inv. 7
City Plat Fee $341 .00 inv. 9
9/11/2008 additional printing request $212.96 inv. 10
1072172008 additional printing request $321 .75 inv. 1 1
1275/2008 additional printing request $138.48 inv. 12

Total $2,139.19
Komatsu Architecture paid for these services and included them as reimbursables
on the invoices listed. We request an amendment to our contract in the amount of
$2139.19 to cover these costs. Please let me know if you have any questions or
concerns.

the construction documents along with a Proof of Submission form to the department, a registsred accessibility spadailst,or a contract
provider not later than the fifth day after the pians and specifications are issued."
The date that plans and specifications are issued shall be as defined in the following provisions of 16 Texas Administrative Code Texas
Administrative Rule 68.14(15):
Issue-To.mail,deliver,transmit;or otherwise release plans or specificatbnS to an owner,lessee,contractor,subcontractor,or
any other person acting for an owner or lessee for the purpose of construction, applying_for a buitdIng permit, or obtaining'
regulatory approval after such pians have been seated by an architect, interior designer,.landscape airchitect,.or engineer.In the
case of a.state-funded or other pubiic.wofks project;it is the time at which plans or specif"lons are publicly posted for bids,
after such plans or specifiaat€ons have been sealed by an architect,interior designer,landscape architect,of englneer.
