COUNTY OF TARRANT § WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth ("City") and Mas-tek Engineering & Associates, Inc., made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 35279 authorized by City Council via M&C, C-15537 on March 20, 2007; and WHEREAS, the Agreement involves geotechnical and materialtesting services; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary,,to execute Amendment No, 1 said Contract increase the maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement that amends the Contract: 1. Article 11, of the Contract is amended to provide for a $ 100,000.00 increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for aU work and services shallnot exceed the sum of 325 000,00. 2. 'These requirements contracts provide the City with additional capacity as needed and allow for rapid response to departmental needs with already established unit prices. Funding is provided from each individual project, On March 20, 2007,City Council authorized the City Manager to execute a contract (City Secretary Contract No. 35279) with Mas—tek Engineering and Associates Inc., for geo—technical and construction material testing services for as period of 36 rnonths with an aggregate fee not to exceed $225,000f 00. Mas—tck Engineering and Associates, Inc., is performing materials testing for projects that are still under construction and it is recommended that we continue utilizing their work and services until those projects are completed. Recommended amendment will assure the projects are completed. Mas—tek will perform the services for this Arnendment No. 1.
