TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 48470
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and MV Engineering, Inc., (Engineer) made and
entered into City Secretary Contract No. 48470, (Agreement) which was authorized by M&C C-
28007 on December 6, 2016, in the amount of$500,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement calls for Engineer to provide professional services for the
following project:
Engineering and Design Services for Street and Transportation Improvements at Various
Locations ("Services"); and
WHEREAS, as indicated in M&C C-28007, the Agreement is for a term of two years;
however the Agreement does not recite a termination date; and
WHEREAS, available funds remain in the project budget and therefore it has become
necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement to establish a termination date.
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the Agreement:
1.
The Agreement is amended to include the following language:
Term: The term of this Agreement shall commence on the Effective Date and shall
continue until the expiration of the funds or completion of the subject matter, whichever
occurs first, unless terminated in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. Unless
specifically otherwise amended, in no event shall the term exceed five years from the
original effective date.
2.
All other provisions of the Agreement which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain
in full force and effect.
