Project Manager City of Fort Worth Engineering. Department 1000 Throckmorton Street Fort Worth, Texas 76102 REF; Geddes/Halloran Roadway Project Request for Additional Services HDR Project No. 42886 Dear Mr. Argomaniz: HDR Engineering, Inc. is requesting the following additional scope and fee for the 2004 CIP—Contract 34 Project. GEDDES/HALLORAN ROADWAY PROJECT 2004 CIP—CONTRACT 34 CITY OF FORT.WORTH PROFESSIONAL ADDITIONAL SERVICE FEE SUMMARY CITY PROJECT NO. 00291 DOE NO. 5148 Scope of Services & Fee: The original City / HDR contract had no provisions for drainage along Halloran Street. However, during the course of design, HDR determined that additional drainage was required on Halloran to meet the City of Fort Worth's design criteria. HDR prepared construction plans for this drainage. These plans were designed and prepared using the City standard parabolic street cross-section. After meeting with the City staff on July 11, 2007, it.was suggested by Steve Eubanks that the drainage be re-analyzed using a "roof-top" roadway cross section. This could result in a considerable saving to the City in eliminating some drainage main line construction. HDR is requesting additional fees for: • Re-analyzing and re-design the street drainage. • Deleting and revising the construction plans, if possible. • Deleting and revising the quantities and contract documents; if possible. k ra ' `N3rti, .
