LICENSE AGREEMENT
WITH
VAN ZANDT COTTAGE FRIENDS, INC.
STATE OF TEXAS
KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF TARRANT
This EXTENSION is made and entered into this the day of ,
2007, by and between the CITY OF FORT WORTH, a home rule municipal core tion of the
State of Texas, located within Tarrant and Denton Counties, Texas (Hereinafter referred to as the
"CITY") and the Van Zandt Cottage Friends, Inc. a legally constituted non-profit entity (hereinafter
referred to as the "VZCFI") acting by and through its duly authorized President..
WHEREAS, on April 6, 2007, the City of Fort Worth, by and through its Assistant City
Manager, entered in to a License Agreement with Van Zandt Cottage Friends, Inc., the same being
City Secretary Contract Number 35173; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement provided that the Van Zandt Cottage Friends, Inc. would
oversee and manage the repair and restoration of the cottage foundation; and
WHEREAS, the primary Agreement term was from March 26, 2007, through July 26, 2007;
and
WHEREAS, Section 3, entitled "Term" provides that the Agreement may be extended by
both parties for additional time as may be needed to complete the restoration of the Cottage. This
extension shall be expressed in writing and signed by both parties; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Van Zandt Cottage Friends, Inc. desire to renew and extend
said Agreement, as amended, for 5 months.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and the Van Zandt Cottage Friends, Inc. agree to extend the
Agreement for the term as follows:
1. Section 3, "Term", is hereby amended to add a first extension as follows:
The FIRST extension of this Agreement shall be for a period beginning on July 27,
2007, to December 31, 2007).
2. All other terms and provisions of the original Agreement between the City and the Van
Zandt Cottage Friends, Inc., including the remaining provisions of Section 3 "
shall remain in full force and effect except as specifically amended hereinRk
