FIFTH RENEWAL OF FORT WORTH CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 40633 —
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
This Fifth Renewal of Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No, 40633 ("Fifth
Renewal") is entered into by and between the CITY OF FORT WORTH (hereafter "City"), a
home rule municipal corporation of the State of Texas, acting by and through Susan Alanis, its
duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and LINEBARGER GOGGAN BLAIR &
SAMPSON, LLP (hereafter "Attorney"), a Texas limited liability partnership, acting by and
through Stephen T. Meeks, its duly authorized partner.
WHEREAS, City and Attorney are currently parties to a professional services
agreement, pursuant to which Attorney performs certain collection, reporting, and related
services for delinquent taxes and other revenues owed to the City, that agreement being Fort
Worth City Secretary Contract No. 40633 (the "Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for an initial five-year term and five, one-year
renewal options; and
WHEREAS, the parties previously amended the Agreement to revise the form and
substance of certain required reporting, that amendment being Fort Worth City Secretary
Contract No. 4063 3-A 1; and
WHEREAS, the parties further amended the Agreement to add certain language required
under Texas law, that amendment being Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 40633-R4; and
WHEREAS, the current renewal term expires June 30, 2019; and
WHEREAS, City and Attorney wish to renew and extend the Agreement for an
additional one-year period.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Attorney do hereby covenant and agree as follows:
1.
Fort Worth City Secretary Contract 40633, as amended by Fort Worth City Secretary
Contracts No. 40633-A1 and 40633-R4, is hereby renewed and extended for an additional one
year term commencing on July 1, 2019 and ending June 30, 2020.
2.
All other terms and conditions of Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 40633, as
amended, that are not amended herein shall remain in full force and effect throughout the fifth
renewal term.
