COUNTY OF TARRANT §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and HDR Engineering, Inc.
(Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 33506 (the
Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C &21422; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following
project:
Pavement Reconstruction and Water and Sanitary Sewer
Replacement on Geddes Avenue (Horne Street to Littlepage Street),
Halloran Street (Libbey Avenue to South Dead End)
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 3 to
said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum
fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through
their duly -authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement
which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services and provide additional contract time as specified in a
proposal letter dated October 17, 2007, a copy of which is attached hereto
and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be
performed by Engineer total $17,199.00.
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the
maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed
under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all
work and services shall not exceed the sum of $140,835.00,

Scope of Services &Fee:
The original City /HDR contract had provisions for sanitary sewer replacement in the
three, alleys within the existing right-of-way only. After discussions with the City it was
determined that the sewer should be replaced from existing manhole to existing manhole
(beyond the right-of-way. limits). T ne. originai swNc eras fir u total of 1AO feet of.
replacement of 6-inch sewer with new 6-inch PVC main: This change will revise the
scope to include replacement of 928 feet of existing 6-inch sewer with 928 feet of new &
inch DIP main and replacement of 594 feet of existing 6-inch sewer with 594 feet of new
8-inch PVC main. ' Also included would be the addition of 7 new manholes.
HDR is requesting additional .fees for:
SURVEY
Additional design/topographic survey from manhole to manhole..
• Approximately 60 additional landowner information.
• Approximately 60 additional locations of service connections_ .
al utilities in the alleys.
DESIGN
• Re -analyzing and re -design the sanitary sewer main.
• Revising the construction plans.
These tasks would be provided with the following personnel manhours and fees:
SURVEY
• Field & Office Work 1,342 feet x $4.50 per foot = $6,039
DESIGN
Project Manager, 24 hours x $195 per hour = $4,680
• Professional 32 hours x $125 per hour = $4,000
• Technical Support 32 hours x $ 70 per hour = $22240
• Clerical 4 hours x $ 60 per hour = $240
- TOTAL ADDITIONAL FEE _ $17,199
