COUNTY OF TARRANT S
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and TranSystems
Corporation d/d/a TranSystems Corporation Consultants, (Engineer)
made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 33868, (the
Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-21598 on
the 3rd day of August, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project:
Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2005 WSM-K
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to
said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised
maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through
their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following
agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I, of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated October 19,
2007, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The
cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer
total $19,880.00.

Article II, of the Contract is amended to provide for an
increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and
services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total
fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the
sum of $187,638.00.

amended herein s all remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr.Calderon,
Per your request,this amendment revises the previously approved 2005 WSM-K design plans and contract
documents. Specifically,this amendment includes the provision of site inspection,site constraint evaluation,
and the preparation of construction documents for the rehabilitation of failed utility trenches in portions of
Broadmoor Street, Santa Fe Street,and Rand Avenue(see attached exhibits). This work is to be included
with and will augment the water and sanitary sewer replacement designs associated with the 2005 WSM-K
project. It is the intent that the utility trench rehabilitation within the three streets as referenced will be
performed under the same construction contract. The work is necessary to correct severe settlement and
roadway degradation that has occurred in the proximity of the utility trenches. Design services will be based
upon the investigation and recommendations provided by CMJ Engineering, Inc.in their Geotechnical
Engineering Study for the specific areas,dated December,2006(CMJ Project no. 123-06-94).
The additional costs for the evaluation,and construction document preparation are summarized as follows:
Engineering Design and Construction Document Preparation 19 880.00
Total Additional Costs: $ 19,880.00

TOTAL CONTRACT $187,638.00
The work effort associated with this amendment will be accomplished in-house by TranSystems. A cost
