These additional services were requested by the City of Fort Worth and generally include additional work related to the 21" water line relocation, the 12" sanitary sewer replacement and revising two easements to minimize the size(and cost). The 21" water line relocation has significantly increased from the approximately 100' included in the contract. Currently it appears that the desire is to replace about 355' of the water line. Several appurtenances are also now being requested including valves, isolation kits, cathodic protection and an access drive. Also detailed construction sequencing and other notes are being requested. Several special water/sewer specific meetings have also been requested. The proposed increase to the contract is $16,270.00 for these additional services. All additional services will be performed in accordance with the original contract dated October 10, 2018 (City Secretary Contract No. 51385). Summary of Contract Fee Original Contract Amount $267,709.00 Proposed Amendment No. 1 $18,945.00 Proposed Amendment No. 2 $16,270.00 Revised Contract Amount $302,924.00 Aside from the additional work for the water relocation, the project is virtually finished and ready to bid. Assuming that there are no significant changes requested to the additional water line relocation services proposed herein, the project can be ready to bid four weeks after authorization to proceed. 0:Uobs\14799-Fort Worth Keller Hasict Road Culvert\Admin\Contract\Am 2\Amendment 2 Letter.doc ARLINGTON * DALLAS • FORT WORTH • HOUSTON engineers • planners • surveyors • environmental scientists • landscape architects 515 Houston St., Ste. 751 • Fort Worth, TX 76102 • ph: 817-870-2422 • fax: 817-870-2489 •www.neel-schaffer.com Mr. Mike Bennett, P.E., PMP June 21, 2019 Page 2 If you have any questions or we may be of further service, please call me at 817/870-2422.
