CITY OF FORT WORTH AND CITY OF PANTEGO
THIS AMENDMENT AGREEMENT TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT
(CSC) NO. 48789 is made and entered into by and between the CITY OF FORT WORTH,
a home-rule municipal corporation situated in Tarrant, Denton, Parker, and Wise Counties,
Texas, acting by and through its duly authorized Assistant City Manager (hereinafter referred
to as "City"), and CITY OF PANTEGO, Texas ("Pantego"), collectively known as "the
parties".
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on March 6, 2017 the City and Pantego made and entered into an
Interlocal Agreement (CSC No. 48789) ("Agreement") in accordance with Chapter 791 of the
Texas Government Code for the purpose of limited rabies control under Chapter 826 of the
Texas Health and Safety Code, also known as the Rabies Control Act of 1981; and
WHEREAS, Section 3 of the Agreement provides that the Agreement will terminate
on September 30, 2017 unless otherwise extended in writing by the parties; and
WHEREAS, Pantego and the City wish to renew the Agreement for an additional one
year term, unless extended as provided below; and
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Pantego acting herein and by and through their duly
authorized representatives mutually agree to the following amendment of the Agreement:
1. Section 3. Term of the Agreement is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the
following:

TERM
Unless terminated pursuant to the terms herein, this Agreement shall be for a term of
one year, beginning October 1, 2017 and ending on September 30, 2018. In addition, the term
may be extended by mutual written agreement of the parties, for up to two (2) one-year terms.
2. Section 4. Services by City of the Agreement is amended to delete subsection (B)
Service Calls and Rabies Response in its entirety and renumber the remaining subsections, to
read as follows:

SERVICES BY CITY
A. Hours
City agrees to perform the services described herein for the City of Pantego, between
the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays and weekends, excluding holidays,
with no after-hours service provided.
B. Impoundment of Dogs
City will board dogs delivered to the City's Animal Care and Control Center by
Pantego officials pursuant to Section 6.
3. Exhibit A. Schedule of Fees Paid by Pantego is amended to delete the fee for Service
Calls and Rabies response in its entirety, to read as follows:

SCHEDULE OF FEES PAID BY PANTEGO
Impoundments/Boarding Fee:
Pantego shall pay the City a flat fee of$400.00 per dog or quarantine animal delivered to the
City from Pantego officials during the term of this agreement.
SPECIMEN HEAD PREPARATION AND SHIPMENT
Per Animal Head Specimen $200.00 per specimen
4. Except as amended by this Amendment, all of the terms and conditions of the
Agreement, as amended, are ratified and remain in full force an�effect.
This Amendment shall be effective on , 2017.
