AMENDMENT NO. 1 AND RENEWAL NO. 3 TO
INVITATION TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 48789
This First Amendment and Third Renewal is entered into by and between the City of
Fort Worth (hereafter "City"), a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, acting by and through
Valerie Washington, its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and the City of Pantego, a
general law city located in Tarrant County, Texas, acting by and through its duly authorized
Public Works Director(hereinafter referred to as "Pantego"), each individually referred to herein
as a"party"and collectively referred to as the"parties."
WHEREAS, the Parties have previously agreed to the terms and conditions as set forth
in City of Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 48789 (the "Agreement") effective October 1,
2016 and ending on September 30, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement is for purpose of providing limited rabies control in the City
of Pantego; and
WHEREAS,the Agreement and three options to renew were approved by the Fort Worth
City Council on January 24, 2017 by M&C P-28077; and
WHEREAS, the Parties agreed to exercise two options to renew and to renew the
Agreement through September 30,2019; and
WHEREAS,the Parties now wish to amend the Agreement to allow for a third and final
option to renew as previously authorized by the Fort Worth City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Parties now wish to evidence the Parties' intention to renew the
Agreement for its third and final term; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties, acting herein by the through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement to amend and renew the Agreement:

It is the parties' intent to replace section 3. Term included in the Agreement with the

Unless terminated pursuant to the terms herein, this Agreement shall be for a term of one
year, beginning October 1, 2016 and ending on September 30, 2017. In addition, the term

may be extended by mutual written agreement of the parties for up to three additional one-
year terms.
2. RENEWAL
This Amendment and Renewal shall serve as notice that the Parties mutually agree to
renew the Agreement for an additional one-year period, which will expire on September 30,
2020.
3.
All other provisions of the Agreement which are not expressly amended herein shall
remain in full force and effect.
