WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and ARS Engineers, Inc. ,
(Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 33869,
(the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by MSC C-21553
on the llth day of July, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project:
Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2005 WSM-H.
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to
said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum
fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through
their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following
agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I, of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated December 6,
2007, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The
cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer
total $9,768.27 .
2.
Article II, of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase
in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services
performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by
the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of
$161,650.27.

3.
All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly
amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr. Sholola:
This is a request for an amendment to the above referenced contract originally awarded on
August 21, 2006. This amendment includes revisions of plans and specifications to separate
Weiler Boulevard sanitary sewer and water line drawings from this project. Additional
coordination is required to include Weiler Boulevard drawings with another project being
designed by another consultant.
The approved project budget for the original scope of work was a lump sum fee of$151,881.00.
In accordance with the attached spreadsheet, we are asking the City to consider approval of an
additional lump sum fee of$9,768.27, making our total project compensation a lump sum fee of
$161,649.27. This amendment of$9,768.27 will enable us to complete the necessary project
revisions as stated herewith.
