WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth and KAI/Alliance, LC dba KAI Texas (Consultant) made
and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 49847 (The Contract) which was authorized by
the City Council by M&C C-28430, the 10th day of October, 2017, to provide Design and
Construction Administration Services for the new Eastside Library located at 3851 East
Lancaster Avenue; and Amendment No. 1 was administratively executed in the amount of
$65,537.00 for additional design services to comply with City's Stormwater Management
requirements & TxDOT Construction Permitting within Lancaster Avenue's (US180) R.O.W,
and Park Plan Development to include a playground and pavilion; and
WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary to reimburse the Consultant as part of the
design services agreement for additional design services for Public Art Coordination with a
new Artist including Artwork Photometric Study and Structural Analysis of the proposed
Public Art Design.
NOW THEREFORE, City and Consultant, acting herein by and through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract:

Article I — Scope of Services, Paragraph (3) shall be added to read as follows:
(3) Provide additional design services for Public Art Coordination with a new Artist. The cost
and not-to-exceed amounts of this additional services are $14,042.00 with no direct
reimbursable expenses (Attachment "D"), and $6,690.00 with no direct reimbursable
expenses (Attachment "E"). The scope of services is described more fully in KAI Texas's
Letters dated March 29, 2019, subject: "Additional Services Request #03, Eastside Family
Library — New Artist Coordination, KAI Project No. 10-17014" (Attachment "D"), and January
24, 2020, subject: "Additional Services Request #04, Reby Cary Youth Library — Artwork
Photometric Study & Structural Analysis, KAI Project No. 10-17014" (Attachment "E").

Article II — Compensation, first paragraph, is amended as follows:
"Consultant shall be compensated in accordance with the Fee Schedule shown in
Attachments "D" & "E". Payment shall be considered full compensation for all labor,
materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to complete the services described in
Attachments "D" & "E". However the total fee paid by the City shall not exceed a total
of $468,961.00 unless the City and the Consultant mutually agree upon a fee amount
for additional services and amend this Agreement accordingly."

All other provisions of this Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in
full force and effect.

Eastside Family Library—New Artist Coordination

Dear Mr.Meza:
KAI is pleased to submit this proposal for Additional Services for detention facility design associated
with the Eastside Library facility at 3851 East Lancaster Avenue,Fort Worth,TX 76103. This fee
proposal covers the Construction Document phases of the project.
A. Scope of Services
As requested in an email delivered to you on 3/6/19,KAI will coordinate the new Artist artwork with
the current design of the interior environment. The scope of work associated with this design effort
includes one(1)team meeting with the Owner and the Artist. This effort also includes the
coordination of the reflected ceiling plans and interior elevations. These areas will be re-designed,
evaluated and coordinated to ensure that we have a cohesive solution that wholly integrates the
Artist concept.This scope of work also includes civil and landscape design.
This proposal does not include a photometric study or a structural analysis of the artwork on the
building design. These services can be provided as supplemental services for an additional
compensation.
B. Compensation
Basic Services: $14,042.00
The compensation for the above referenced service shall be a lump sum fee of$14,042
(Fourteen Thousand Forty-Two Dollars and no/100).

Direct Expenses:
No direct expenses are expected for this Additional Service Request. Payments are due and
payable per the terms of the proposal agreement executed between KAI and the City of Fort Worth
on 10/11/17.
C. Schedule of Services
Upon written notice to proceed.The proposed services will be in accordance with the current design
schedule.
D. Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions will be the same as the proposal agreement executed between KAI and
the City of Fort Worth on 10/11/17.
This proposal is valid for a period of up to 30 calendar days from the date of the proposal. Please

Reby Cary Youth Library—Artwork Photometric Study&Structural Analysis

Dear Mr.Meza:
KAI is pleased to submit this proposal for Additional Services for photometric study&structural
analysis of the artwork associated with the Reby Cary Youth Library facility at 3851 East Lancaster
Avenue, Fort Worth,TX 76103.
A. Scope of Services
As requested in an email on 1/13/20,KAI will provide a photometric study and a structural analysis of
the proposed artwork in the Collections Space. The scope of work associated with this design effort
includes one(1)team meeting with the Owner and the Artist. This effort will analyze the roof deck
and roof framing to support the weight of the artwork. It is our understanding that the design of the
artwork and the connections to the structure will be by others.
In addition,this proposal covers professional services for a photometric study. The study will
analyze the light fixtures indicated in the 7/24/19 permit drawings with the proposed artwork and
provide recommendations,if required,to adjust light levels based on industry lighting level
standards.This scope of work also includes electrical,structural and architectural design and
coordination.
B. Compensation
Basic Services: $6,690.00
The compensation for the above referenced service shall be a lump sum fee of$6,690
(Six Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Dollars and no/100).

payable per the terms of the proposal agreement executed between KAI and the City of Fort Worth
on 10/11/17.
C. Schedule of Services
The schedule for the proposed services will be ten(10)working days,upon a written notice to
proceed.
D. Terms and Conditions—Refer to Attachment'B'
The Terms and Conditions will be the same as the proposal agreement executed between KAI and
the City of Fort Worth on 10/11/17.
This proposal is valid for a period of up to 30 calendar days from the date of the proposal. Please
