This is a request to the Director of the Water Department of the City of Fort Worth for water service
outside the city limits of Fort Worth, pursuant to City Code Section 35-60.

understand that the provision of water by the City of Fort Worth shall be made in strict compliance with
Chapter 35 of the Fort Worth City Code (1986), as amended, specifically but not limited to the following
Sections:
1. City Code Section 35-60"Uses Outside City"as applicable;and
2. City Code Section 35-20"Provisions Incorporated into Consumer Contracts".
"AII of the provisions of this Chapter [35] shall be deemed to be incorporated in every contract
between the city and its water or sanitary sewerage service customers, and each customer or
consumer shall be charged with knowledge of the provisions of this chapter and, by applying for
and accepting water or sanitary sewerage service from the city, to have assented to the
provisions of this chapter." This shall include any and all ordinances adopted and amending
Chapter 35 such as ARTICLE VI. LAWN AND LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION CONSERVATION.

Fort Worth and hereby agree to the terms and conditions stated above. I certify that I am authorized to
make this application and to enter into such agreement.

Authorize the Provision of Water Service at 1.25 Times the Retail Rate to Ms. Janie Lee to Serve
Her Business, the El Dorado Motel, Located at 11005 Highway 80 West, in Tarrant County, Outside
of the Fort Worth City Limits Pursuant to City Code Section 35-60B "Uses Outside City"
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize the Water Department to provide water service at 1.25 times the retail rate to Ms. Janie Lee to
serve her business, the El Dorado Motel, located at 11005 Highway 80 West, located in Tarrant County,
outside of the Fort Worth City limits; and
2. Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement for such services.
DISCUSSION:
Ms. Janie Lee has submitted a request to receive water service from the City of Fort Worth for her business,
the El Dorado Motel, located at 11005 Highway 80 West.
The legal description of the property is Lot 8, Block 12, El Rancho Estates Addition, located in the
extraterritorial jurisdiction of Tarrant County (see attached map). This property is located inside the Fort
Worth Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN).
Ms. Janie Lee has agreed to pay all fees and charges associated with the connection. The applicant also
understands that the fees and the monthly bill will be 1.25 times the rate for customers inside the City of
Fort Worth until such time as the property may be annexed.
This property is located adjacent to COUNCIL DISTRICT 3.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that the Water Department will be responsible for collection and deposit of
funds due to the City as a result of this agreement.
