WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth ("City") and LopezGarcia Group, Inc.
("Engineer") made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 35401, (the "Contract")
which was authorized by the City Council by M&C — C22169 on the 12th day of June,
2007 ; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project:
Engineering contract for the design of drainage improvements for the East
Rosedale Street Project.
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly
authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the
Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to included the additional engineering
services specified in a proposal letter, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer total
$13,242.00.
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum
fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the contract, as
amended, so that the total fee paid by the city for all work and services shall not exceed
the sum of $117,458.00.
3.
All other provision of the Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall
remain in full force and effect.

Environmental Mitigation Services
LOPEZGARCIA GROUP (LGGROUP) is pleased to submit the following supplemental cost
proposal for environmental mitigation services required for the proposed bridge, culvert and
embankment improvements at East Rosedale Street as required by the Texas Department of
Transportation (TxDOT) Fort Worth District under CSJ: 0172-01-042. Project specifics are
detailed below:
1.0 SCOPE
Per recent comment from the U.S. Army Corps ofEngineers Fort Worth District, to satisfy
Section 404 permitting requirements, LGGROUP will conduct a tree survey and prepare a
conceptual tree mitigation plan for impacts resulting from the proposed bridge, culvert and
embankment improvements under the East Rosedale Street project. Details of these services are
provided below:
Task 1 —Conduct Tree Survey
LGGROUP will survey all trees greater than 4" diameter -at -breast height (dbh) to be removed
within the proposed footprint of the bridge, culvert and embankment improvements. This survey
is to solely consist of generating a list of the number and species of the trees to be mitigated. A
survey conducted by a Registered Professional Land Surveyor is not included in this scope of
services.
Task 2 —Prepare Conceptual Tree Mitigation Plan
LGGROUP will develop a tree planting mitigation plan to meet the mitigation requirements of
bridge, culvert and embankment improvements scheduled for the East Rosedale project. Tasks to
complete the proposed plan are as follows:
1. Review the results of the tree survey (species and dbh) described in Task 1, calculate the
gross caliper inches required for replacement and review those species recommended by the
local USACE Project Manager.
2. Determine possible locations for mitigation plantings or lack thereof at the removal site
utilizing civil drawings and site photographs.
3. Identify any adjacent or associated public park locations that the required mitigation plantings
could occur. Review these locations and determine the species and size of trees that would be
most appropriate at these locations.
4. Identify the tree species and sizes that could be accommodated within the specific project
area utilizing exiting engineering base sheets for the project. Tree placement should be
dimensionality located from future hardscape construction elements. The plan sheet should
contain a total of all mitigation trees to be planted by species and size.
5. Specifically identify by plan view aerial photography or existing site plans provided by the
City of Fort Worth the areas to be planted within the specific park area. The plantings in
these locations will be dimensionally identified on aerial photographs or base plans and
referenced to known or visually identified hardscape features or other major tree plantings.
The City of Fo Worth should provide any irrigation plans of areas to be planted for possible

conflicts. All planting plan sheets will contain the total number of trees, species and caliper
inches of trees to be planted.
6. Planting details and planting specifications will be attached to the plan sheets. A maximum
of four plan sheets are anticipated, including the attached details and specifications.
2.0 LIMITATIONS
Performance of these tasks within the proposed schedule is dependent upon timely receipt of data
and materials from the City of Fort Worth and timely agency review.
3.0 ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Any additional services not included above are outside the scope of this contract. Additional
services may be completed for an additional fee.
