COUNTY OF TARRANT §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Transystems Corporation
Consultants (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 34116 (the
Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-21715 on the 26th day of
September, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project:
Engineering Design Services; Street Reconstruction, Water and Sewer Replacement on
Fain Street (N. Beach St to Airport Fwy), Fairview Street (Airport Fwy to Maurice
Avenue), Harper Street (S. Dead End to Parrish Road), Karnes Street (Airport Fwy to
Race Street) and Primrose Ave (Gwynne St to Eagle Dr), 2004 CIP Contract Year 4 & 5,
Contract 46, Project No. 00445; DOE No. 5398
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly
authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the
Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services
specified in a proposal dated September 10, 2008, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by
Engineer total $9,301.00
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum
fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as
amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed
the sum of $256,508.00
3.
All other provisions of the contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall
remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr. Sahu,
Per your request, this amendment revises the previously approved Capital Improvement Project —Contract
46, City Secretary Contract No. 34116 design plans and contract documents. Specifically, this amendment
includes the provision of additional topographic survey, design of new water line, water line easement
preparation and Traffic Control for the east side of Beach Street between Fain and Wheeler Streets. This
work is to be included with and will augment the designs associated with the original contract. The specific
work to be included is as follows:
• Beach Street (East side of right-of-way) —
o Additional survey of area between Fain and Wheeler Streets.
o Design of 530 LF of proposed 84ch water line
o Preparation of water line easement for proposed extension into private property
o Preparation of traffic control along the proposed route
Engineering design work for the scope as amended is associated with the proposed improvements for the
Beach Street water line extension. The fee for these services are calculated based upon the following
formula:

Construction costs for the proposed improvements are summarized in attached estimate. The calculated
fee for engineering design is as follows:
Existing Contract (T&PW &Water Dept) Basic Services Fee
$219863307 X 6.7% X 85% = $170,070
Amendment 3 Construction Costs = $66,748
Revised Construction Costs = $3,053,055
Revised Calculated Fee with New Curve A Percentage
$31053,055 X 6.7% X 85% = $173,871
Amendment 2 Basic Services is difference between original contract
value and revised calculated fee
$173,871 - $170,070 = $3,801
Basic Services Total: _ $3,801
Additional Services:
Survey —Additional Beach Street = $ 4,200
