WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and TranSystems Corporation
Consultants (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No.
38905, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-
23498 on the 26th day of May, 2009;
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following
project:
North Beach Street from Timberland Boulevard to Keller -Hicks Road;
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement,
which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in the proposal letter dated April 6,
2010, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein. The
cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by
Engineer total $30,930.00.
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in
the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services
performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by
the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of
$579,662.00.
3.
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr. Weiss,
Per your request, this amendment revises the previously approved Transportation and Public Works —
Capital Projects, City Secretary Contract No. 38905 design plans and contract documents. Specifically, this
amendment includes the provision of additional right-of-way and easement documents, channel design,
channel access ramp design and FEMA CLOMR/LOMR flood study for specific portions of the project. This
work is to be included with and will augment the design associated with the original contract. The specific
work to be included is as follows:
Prepare Right -of -Way (6 @ $1250), Temporary Construction
Easements (20 @ $600), Drainage Easements (4 @ $800)
documents above the original contract.=$15,500
Prepare the hydraulic modeling of the tributary to Big Bear Creek.
This task will include FEMA coordination of a CLOMR/LOMR. This task
does not include FEMA administrative or application fees and additional
topographic survey. _$ 17,900
Design channel improvements relates to proposed culvert. Design will
included a grading plan and profile of channel improvements. Also
included is the design of an access ramp for channel maintenance.=$10,980
Administrative (10%) Fee on MWBE Firms =$ 1,550
The scope of the original project was modified and the design of the
intersection and signals was removed. Therefore a design credit is
given back for that design. _ <15 000>
