COUNTY OF TARRANT 8
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and TranSystems Corporation
Consultants (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No.
38905, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-
23498 on the 26th day of May, 2009; by Amendment Number 1 which was
authorized by the City on the 20th day of April, 2010;
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following
project.
North Beach Street from Timberland Boulevard to Keller -Hicks Road;
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement,
which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in the proposal letter dated September 17,
2010, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein. There
is no additional cost to City for the design services to be performed by
Engineer.
2.
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr. Weiss,
Per your request, this amendment revises the previously approved Transportation and Public Works —
Capital Projects, City Secretary Contract No. 3HUD design plans and contract documents. Specifically, this
amendment will include the design of Phase 2 that will extend the original project from Bray Birch Lane to
Timberland Boulevard. This work is to be included with and will augment the design associated with the
original contract. The additional work scope and additional fee are detailed in the attached Exhibit A and
Exhibit B.

SUPPLEMENTAL SCOPE OF SERVICES
DESIGN SERVICES: PAVING AND/OR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
North Beach Street (Bray Birch to Timberland)
City Project No, 01291
The original contract (Phase 1) included design services for North Beach from Keller Hicks Road
to Bray Birch Lane. This amendment will augment the design associated with the original
contract to include the design of Phase 2 that will extend the original project from Bray Birch
Lane to Timberland Boulevard. Under this amendment, the ENGINEER is authorized to proceed
with Phase 2 of this project. Upon receipt of notice to proceed, the ENGINEER will perform the
following tasks:
1. Prepare topographic survey, right-of-way and subsurface utility engineering that extend
the original project limits of Keller Hicks to Bray Birch (Phase 1) to include the additional
project length of Bray Birch to Timberland (Phase 2).
2. Prepare design documents in accordance to the existing contract scope. This amendment
will extend the original project limits of Keller Hicks to Bray Birch (Phase 1) to include the
additional project length of Bray Birch to Timberland (Phase 2). The design will include
the design for landscaping, traffic control, roadway, storm drain, pavement marking and
geotechnical for the extended limits of Bray Birch to Timberland.
