HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 40440-A3AMENDMENT NO. 3 STATE OF TEXAS S CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 0 44o- A3 (No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT 8 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and AECOM USA Group, Inc. (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 40440, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-24201 on the 4th day of May 2010 and amended by City Secretary Contract No. 40440-Al on the 12th day of August, 2010; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project. Alliance Airport Phase 7 Pavement Rehabilitation, Project No. 1588 WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 3 to said contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated October J. 2010, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer total $10,169.00. 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City of all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $191,878.15. Director, City of Fort Worth Airport Systems 4201 North Main Street Suite 200 Fort Worth, Texas 76106 October 5, 2010 Re: City of Fort Worth Contract 40440 Alliance Pavement Rehabilitation, Phase 7 Dear Mr. Penny, At the request of Mr. Tim Ward, President Alliance Air Services for Alliance Airport, the scope of services far the above reference contract will be expanded to incorporate the replacement of the air conditioning system in the electrical vault. Equipment failure and continued maintenance and the addition of three new regulators has necessitated the replacement of the existing air conditioning system. AECOM is requesting an amendment to our existing Contract, City Secretary Contract No. 40440, for the expanded scope of work. The engineering fee for the expanded scope of work is $10,169.00. An estimated construction cost for the replacement of the air conditioning system cannot be prepared until a field investigation is completed. The size and configuration of the air conditioning system will determine the estimated construction cost. Attached please find back up ihformation associated with this Request for Contract Amendment.
