'-lob 3t12- KII WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 40726, (the Contract) which was executed administratively by the City Manager on the 2 0 th day of August 2010; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Comanche Creek Detention Pond Analysis and Evaluation=Study SWS 044 Project No. SWS-044 WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW T H f4REFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated January 27, 2012 a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer total $45,800. J 2 . Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $81,300. WORTH, TX ATTACHMENT "C-1" COMANCHE CREEK DETENTION POND ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION STUDY SWS-044 AMENDMENTS TO THE STANDARD SCOPE OF SERVICES, ATTACHMENT "A" Please note the Tasks indicated below are amendments to the original contract. Refer to the original contract for clarification on task labeling. Task 1: Project Management The Consultant will perform the following subtasks during the Project Management task. 1.5 The Consultant will prepare for and attend up to ten (10) meetings (40 hours) with City staff to discuss the project. 1.6 The Consultant will coordinate with stakeholders such as Lake Worth and private property owner's and their representatives. The scope for this task includes up to thirty (30) hours of coordination efforts. 1.7 The Consultant will coordinate with City staff regarding environmental concerns. This includes the Consultant preparing for and attending up to two (2) meetings with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) 1.8 The Consultant will coordinate with the City regarding the research of the city limit boundaries, review and assistance preparing the memorandum of understanding between the City and Lake Worth, and reviews of past relevant hydrologic and hydraulic studies for Comanche Creek. The Consultant will assist the City in the review of agreements with property owners as it pertains to drainage related items. The scope for this task includes up to forty (40) hours of coordination efforts 1.9 The Consultant will provide general project management related tasks necessary to perform the services outlined in the Scope of Services. Task 5: Conceptual Renderings The Consultant will perform the following subtasks during the Conceptual Renderings task. 5.1 The Consultant will prepare up to three (3) conceptual renderings of the regional detention pond and bypass channel These renderings may include, but are not limited to, a bypass channel with a weir option, a bypass channel with a culvert ATTACHMENT'C' Page 1 of 2 option, and/or a bypass channel with a culvert and roadway option. This task also includes addressing up to two (2) rounds of comments from the City for each conceptual rendering. 5.2 The Consultant will prepare Opinions of Probable Construction Costs (OPCCs) for up to three (3) conceptual renderings. Task 6" Drainage Easement The Consultant will perform the following subtasks during the Drainage Easement task. 6.1 The Consultant will evaluate and determine the approximate location and size of drainage easement needed for the bypass channel and regional detention pond 6.2 The Consultant will coordinate with surveyor to prepare the drainage easements and/or plats. 6.3 The Consultant will prepare a legal description of the de -annexation of property located south of Charbonneau Road and Comanche Trail that is currently located in the city limits of Lake Worth. This property will be dedicated to the city of Fort Worth. 6.4 The Consultant will prepare a legal description of the de -annexation of property located at Comanche Trail that is currently located in the city limits of Lake Worth. This property will be dedicated to the City of Lake Worth 6.5 The Consultant will survey and prepare a plat or separate easement for the conveyance of the property located between Comanche Creek and Charbonneau Road that is currently located within the City of Lake Worth's city limits. The intent of the survey is to gather the necessary information for platting purposes only This is not a design level survey.
