INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT
We, the undersigned, as executive directors and/or chief executive officers of designated
agencies do hereby agree to the following policy supporting the creation, development, and
implementation of One Safe Place in the County of Tarrant, Texas. To wit:
We recognize the criminal justice system that addresses domestic violence and sexual assault
related to domestic violence in practice may fail to meet the needs of victims.
As participants in this system, we recognize that many victims within our current system can be
"revictimized" by excessive interviews, lack of communication between agencies, and the
numbers of visits adult victims must make to individual agencies.
Having recognized these problems, we are supportive of the creation, development and
implementation of a victim oriented facility that serves as a cooperative, collaborative effort
between the undersigned agencies, wherein a multi --disciplinary approach is utilized in the
investigation, prosecution, protection and treatment of domestic violence and sexual assault
related to domestic violence victims and their children.
We do further agree that the stated purpose of One Safe Place is set forth as follows:
1. To provide for a multidisciplinary team and case management approach which is focused
first on the victim's needs and second on the law enforcement, prosecution, and civil
proceedings involved;
2. To reduce the number of interviews a victim endures;
3. To provide and coordinate the therapeutic treatment program for victims and their
families;
4. To provide appropriate counseling and other services to those children who live in the
environment of domestic violence or sexual assault related to domestic violence and are
victims of violence.
5. To develop, achieve, and maintain interagency and inter -professional cooperation and
coordination in the case management and handling of adult domestic violence and sexual

and just decided that a copy was the best we would be able to get back.

We can maintain for record, however, from this point forward we will need all
associated agreement documents in order to have a complete file. If you have
anything pertaining to the agreement with One Safe PIace that occurred prior to this
time that you would like us to maintain, please advise.
Our record copy needs to be an original document with original signatures when
possible. If you would like copies returned to you, please provide the respective
n umber you would like returned plus the original. They will be assigned a "contract"
n umber and be indexed in our system.

Mary will question the necessity of authenticating the agreement and assigning it a
contract number. What is the basis for filing it within the City Secretary's Office
since there is no formality of approval by the Council, M&C or acknowledgement of
an ACM?

I just signed the one copy that I missed. This agreement does not need Mr. Daniels's signature. It is more of an
agreement that says the Chief's officers will participate in a certain initiative and abide by certain policies.
