HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 51936-A1 AL202 AMENDMENT No.1 t5iZ�0R NM TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 51936 CSC No.51936-Al WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Halff Associates, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 51936, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C C-28980 on the 15th day of January, 2019 in the amount of $148, 000 .00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: River Trails Park to River Legacy Park Trail Project; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. l to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional survey and design services specified in a proposal dated June 5, 2020, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $98, 695. 00. (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page -3-) 2 . Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $246, 695. 00. 3. Total : $98, 695 . 00 City of Fort Worth Professional Services Agreement Amendment Template PMO Official Release 8/1/2012 Page 3 of 3 mom HALFF mom AMENDMENT 1 PHASE 2 OF THE TRINITY TRAILS EAST FORT WORTH EXTENSION SCOPE OF WORK SCOPE OF SERVICES BASIC SERVICES TASK 1—COORDINATION/MANAGEMENT/COMMUNICATION ENGINEER shall perform the following tasks: A) Attend one (1) project kick-off meeting(up to two-hour duration)with the CITY to review project scope,schedule,deliverables,status reporting,communications,and expectations for the project. TASK 2—DATA REVIEW/SITE VISIT/BASE MAP ENGINEER shall perform the following tasks: A) Provide permanent trail easement and temporary construction easement documents for the Ken Allen tract B) Prepare a project base map for the project design area utilizing ENGINEER's gathered relevant project data.The project base map shall be suitable for use in both 22 inch x 34 inch (full size) and 11 inch x 17 inch (half size)format with black and white line work(and with full-color aerial photo background which can be turned on or off as requested by CITY). The base map shall include, at minimum,the following data for all areas within the project study area: a. Existing photometric (LIDAR)topographic contours(2-foot contour interval) b. Flood limits (location of FEMA 100-year floodplain and floodway) c. Utilities (underground/at-grade/overhead, location, type, size, owner name and contact information) d. Property ownership (current owner name and contact information, TAD parcel number, parcel size, assessed values of land and improvements) e. Aerial photography(latest available color Google or other—Nearmap) C) Visit the project site to observe and photographically document existing conditions as necessary for completion of the project. Landscape Architect to identify any trees along proposed path that need to be preserved and protected during construction or for trail re-routing purposes. Design for trail shall follow current AASHTO design standards unless directed otherwise by CITY B) Ensure that all previously assigned schematic design trail study items are accomplished. Update trail alignment based on CITY feedback and Challenges Memorandum prepared by Halff during the Schematic Design phase. C) Determine and illustrate, utilizing project study area base map background,trail routing options that ENGINEER proposed to the CITY (including the existing trail previously constructed in conjunction with Trinity Trails East Fort Worth Extension Phase 1). ENGINEER's proposed trail route shall be based on ENGINEER's knowledge and experience,submitted schematic design, and data including anticipated construction costs, environmental/historic/cultural/wildlife resource impacts, and required property/easement acquisitions. TASK 4—60%CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS ENGINEER shall perform the following tasks: A) Prepare and submit 60%design/construction documents for the trail to the CITY for review.These documents shall incorporate CITY comments and input from the previous review of project data and existing site conditions. B) The design/construction documents shall plan and instruct the installation of the trail, as based on the approved Schematic Design plans. Design will include civil engineering design, landscape architecture design, and structural design for pedestrian bridge components and any retaining walls that may be needed, based on final schematic alignment C) Preliminary 60%design/construction documents as part of this amendment will be developed for initial feedback, but a complete deliverable will not be prepared: a. Design/construction plans L No technical specifications will be prepared under this scope ii. No detailed opinion of probable costs will be prepared under this scope D) Halff will provide a digital submittal of the preliminary 60% design/construction documents to complete the scope of work for this amendment. Halff will attend one meeting with the City, if needed. Note: Trail improvements will follow applicable AASHTO and City of Fort Worth standards and details, unless directed otherwise. Park Facility Standards will be provided by the CITY. All other required standards will need to be researched,verified, and acquired separately.
