AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
CITY OF FORT WORTH CONTRACT 53783
This Amendment is entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth (hereafter
"City"), a home rule municipality, with its principal place of business at 200 Texas Street, Fort
Worth, Texas, and Linda K.Wood (hereafter "Author") a sole proprietor. City and Author shall
be referred to individually as a Party and collectively as the Parties.
WHEREAS, on April 7, 2020, the Parties entered into City Secretary Contract 53783
for Author to discuss her book"Campfire Stew:Fort Worth's Girl Scout Troop I I"to help promote
literacy and interest in reading and writing; and, ("Agreement"); and
WHEREAS,the Agreement was scheduled on July 30, 2020, ("Performance Date);
WHEREAS, the Parties agreed that for the safety and wellbeing of the citizens of Fort
Worth and the Author to delay the event to a future date;
WHEREAS, the Parties now wish to amend the Agreement to change the Performance
Date.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties, acting herein by the through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement:

AMENDMENTS
A. Section I. TIME AND PLACE OF PERFORMANCE. Is hereby amended and replaced
in its entirety with the following:
1. The Author agrees to speak about her writing, sign books, and participate in a
question and answer session ("Performance") with the audience at 6:30 pm on March 11,
2021, ("Performance Date") at East Regional Library located at 6301 Bridge St., Fort
Worth, Texas ("Performance Site").
2. If the Performance is rescheduled, for any reason, the parties agree to execute an
amendment to this Agreement setting forth the rescheduled Performance date. If the
Author cannot perform on the rescheduled Performance Date, then the City may terminate
this Agreement without penalty. The City shall have sole discretion to determine the
rescheduled Performance Date.
B. Section VIII. TERM AND TERMINATION. Is hereby amended and replaced in its
entirety with the following:
1. This Agreement shall begin upon execution by both Parties and shall continue in full
force and effect until March 31, 2021, unless terminated earlier in accordance with this
Agreement.

2. This Agreement may be terminated by the City without cause with fourteen (14) days
written notice to the Author.This Agreement may also be terminated at any time by the City
for cause and upon notice to the Author.
2.
ALL OTHER TERMS SHALL REMAIN THE SAME
All other provisions of the Agreement which are not expressly amended herein shall
remain in full force and effect.
3.
ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE
This Amendment may be executed in multiple counterparts, each of which shall be
an original and all of which shall constitute one and the same instrument.A facsimile copy
or computer image, such as a PDF or tiff image, or a signature, shall be treated as and shall
have the same effect as anoriginal.
